NIHON
ART PUBLISHERS was
founded in the spring of 1997. Our aim is to bring Asian
craftwork, both ancient and current to a wider audience.
Since the take-over of all rights of the volumes TSUBA
and KODOGU, which have been published by H.U.B. Verlag,
NIHON
ART PUBLISHERS have
to our credit a successfully introduced basic concept,
upon which we intend to build. Further projects planned
for the future are also based on the concept of TSUBA
and KODOGU, however, with these projects more importance
will be attached to the exhibition of the objects
presented in the books and a more comprehensive
introduction to the subject. The work of
NIHON
ART PUBLISHERS is
to create a photographic record of these art objects
each with an indiviual text, the result of which is a
prestigious book which achieves as high a standard as
possible. |

The books are published in Japanese,
English and German, in a limited edition. Direct sales
and targeted marketing allows orders to be precessed
with speed and flexibility world wide. Through
co-operation with overseas partners the time of delivery
can be kept to a minimum. In conjunction with the
publications, exhibitions will be arranged which present
the contents of the books. These exhibitions will -
whenever possible - be planned as an international
touring exhibition. As well as the presentation of these
objects, the texts supply sound academically researched
information.
The service of
NIHON
ART PUBLISHERS includes the provision for
transport of art objects, the construction of
exhibitions, and we care for everything concerning
insurance matters, customs and preservation of art
objects. Layout of exhibitions and the presentation of |

the objects inclusive of other work
connected with this, will be carried out as arranged
with the other party to the contract.

ART PUBLISHERS will find recognised restorers
for respective subjects. This service extends to other
art objects, not exclusively Asian.

ART PUBLISHERS offers comprehensive assistance
with public and private art collections, regarding
questions of preservation or restoration, handling,
presentation and storage of art objects, assessment of
objects, courier services for shipping of objects and
discreet acquisition of objects at auction. As required
specialists can be found for the respective subject. In
